Social and economic controls, as told through the narratives of ancient Mexico, are captured in this living jewel. Insect and jewel, human and animal, it is the vehicle for showing the absurd human desperation to obtain value. This living creature experiences this hopeless reality and literally bears the burden of our dark dreams of wealth.
